The Greater Coucal is also known as the Crow Pheasant, belongs to the cuckoo order of birds, named Cuculiformes. They are resident birds found in Asia, mainly in India, east to south China, Nepal and Indonesia.
They are found in wide range of habitats from jungle to urban to cultivation and urban gardens. They are weak fliers, and are often seen walking about in vegetation or ground as they forage for insects, eggs and nestlings of other birds.
