Spot Billed Duck is also called as Spotbill. It is a dabbling duck, found in tropical and eastern Asia. There are 3 sub-species of the Spot-billed duck: the Indian Spot-billed duck, the Eastern Spot-billed duck and the Burmese Spot-billed duck. This duck is resident in the southern part of its range, from Pakistan, India, to south Japan, and migratory in the northern part where it migrates to southeast Asia in winters.
It is found in freshwater lakes and marshes. It feeds on plant food, and it nests on the ground near vegetation near water, and lays 8-14 eggs. Click to read more at Wikipedia
